Day 1: Monday, July 14

Salvete, discipuli et parentes! (Greetings, students and parents!)

Again, thank you all for signing up for Ancient Times Camp.
Today, our first day, was a good test run for me to see how
to manage our activities for the rest of the week. I hope
that you will learn more and have more fun each day!

See you tomorrow, Mr. Adkins!

This is the run-down of what we did today today:

Greetings/names
Latin
Olympics - foot race
Athenian pottery
painted our own Athenian kylix
snack - olive oil, cheese, wine (grape/apple juice!), pita bread
(Most thought they would hate pita bread and olive oil, but they
all loved it!)
Mr. Adkins told the story of Odysseus, the stolen cheese, and Cyclops
while kids ate
we worked a little more on pots
Finis - the end
